Dylan Watson Racing

Dylan’s racing career began in 2018 at twelve years old with no previous driving experience. His rookie year he finished second in points in the 602 Crate Late Models and obtained four top five finishes as well as four top ten finishes.
During the 2019 season Dylan claimed his first career win then claimed his second victory the next race. The team had fifteen top five finishes as well as thirteen top ten finishes.

In the 2020 season, Dylan captured his
first point championship at Ararat Thunder Raceway, VA in the 602 Late Model division as well as eight feature wins and fourteen top five finishes.

His 2021 season began with him pulling double duty as he will be races in the 602 and 604 Crate Late Model at fifteen years old. With seven current victories in 2021 and two top five finishes he is off to a great start this season.

He is no stranger to racing as his father; Jimmy Watson has raced for twenty eight years and his oldest sister raced during her teenage years. Since the age of four months old, most Friday and Saturday nights he would be track side cheering his father and sister on. Dylan learned early on what it takes to keep a car competitive. As a small child he was active in the sport as he helped prepare, mechanic work and clean up the cars.
Those small playful experiences in the shop have now been enhanced to actively working in the shop during his spare time. Dylan is his own mechanic at the shop and at the track. He also has the support of his four older siblings, his parents and other family and friends. Dylan’s competition on the track ranges from a few peers his age all the way up to his own Father.
