My racing began with me driving my rail buggy for competition. One weekend I had a race to attend and had to call on fellow racers for a race suit to use as my house was broken into and my gear stolen. That is when I met Dan Garber. He loaned me some gear so I can finish the season. Later on, he offered me his car to race in. We were at a race at the Redding Dragstrip in Redding, CA when two young boys came up and named his car the Dragon.
