I met some people at a car show. They invited me to come take photos and become part of their race team. I enjoyed the drag racing so much they told me to get into my car and race. My friends talked me into racing my
sandrail buggy. I took it down the track once and was hooked. This team raced on street legal nights and I took into competition. I come from a family of
racers my dad and one brother raced.
My first competitive race I took top qualifier, VW pro win and Top Eliminator. My team mate I had at the time moved on at the end of the race season to do his own racing. I found a new team mate. It was chance that my
house was broken into and this gentleman, Dan Garber, came to my rescue loaning me a race suit so I could finish out the season. We have been team mates for 8 years now. I blew up my engine in my sandrail and he now lets me drive his car. We got the name Dragon when 2 boys came to our pits and asked if they could name the car. They said Dragon and it's been that way ever since.
